A message from our pastor.

"Welcome to our site! I am so glad that you are here. Take a look around to learn more about who we are as a church, our mission and vision for Christ, as well as information about how you can get involved in any of our events and minstries. We welcome you to come visit our church! If you have any questions at all, I would love to connect with you. Whether you've been rooted in the Christian faith your whole life, or you're searching for something that's been missing from your life - You are welcome here!!

Special Announcement
After much consideration and collaboration with state UCC leaders and area colleagues, as well as reading guidelines put out by the CDC about slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus,  United Congregational has decided to cancel on sight worship services for an undetermined amount of time. ( See alternative worship below) We believe this is the compassionate and responsible thing for us to do. This move is not only about the safety of our church, but to our community, in order to flatten the growth curve of people who may contract the virus. As we journey through this challenging time, please remember that you are part of a faith community that cares for you. Together we will press onward, being of good courage, holding fast to that which is good, rendering to no person evil for evil, strengthening the faint-hearted, supporting the weak, helping the afflicted, honoring all people, loving and serving the Lord, and rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit. (And washing our hands). If you need assistance, please call the church office and leave a message. Thank you.

Our Lenten Study... "Entering the Passion of Jesus" Picturing Ourselves in the Story

By viewing images created by a diversity of artists, we can imagine what it might have been like to be with Jesus during the final days of his life. How would we have reacted to the events back then? What is our response to their call on our lives today? Please join us each Sunday during Lent as we take a longer and closer look at key scenes from Holy Week. (This series is based on the book, “Entering the Passion of Jesus,” by Amy-Jill Levine.)

Sunday, April 5th - 9:30am Palm Sunday

Scripture  - Mark 14: 32-42

Message - “Gethsemane "

Anticipating the outcome of his activities that last week in Jerusalem, Jesus retreats to a garden to pray. Does prayer change the world to create the outcomes we want? Or does prayer prepare us for any outcome that arrives? Do you trust that God knows better what we need than we do ourselves?

Join us for "virtual worship" via Zoom.

Our Core Values

01)

WE BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE GOD

Creator, resurrected Christ, the sole Head of the church, and the Holy Spirit, who guides and brings about the creative and redemptive work of God in the world.

02)

WE BELIEVE THAT EACH PERSON IS UNIQUE AND VALUABLE

It is the will of God that every person belong to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.

03)

WE BELIEVE THAT THE UCC IS CALLED TO BE A PROPHETIC CHURCH

As in the tradition of the prophets and apostles, God calls the church to speak truth to power, liberate the oppressed, care for the poor and comfort the afflicted.
